Her work has been published in the Journal of Pediatric, Maternal & Family Health – Chiropractic, and she has been recognized multiple years as “Mom Approved” by DFW Child.

Dr. Parker is particularly passionate about supporting infants navigating early feeding challenges, children experiencing developmental stressors, and mothers seeking proactive, nervous-system-focused care throughout pregnancy and postpartum seasons.

Why She Chose Chiropractic

Dr Michelle Parker adjusted a woman with scoliosis at The Chiropractic Place for Mommy and Me in Aledo, Texas

As a teenager, Dr. Michelle Parker suffered from an autoimmunity called Crohn’s. When the medications she was on for a couple of years no longer had an effect, it was recommended for her to have a portion of her colon removed. She had just started seeing a Doctor of Chiropractic for jaw issues. Every time she got adjusted, her stomach felt better and knew there was something to it. Her chiropractor suggested she read a book called, “The Fungus Link” and she changed her diet and put Crohn’s into remission in 2006. It was then that she decided she wanted to be a doctor that looked for the root cause and the body as a whole.

This led her to move to Dallas, Texas where she graduated from chiropractic school. This is also where she met her husband, Dr. Justin Parker.

Her first son experienced a lot of skin issues (eczema and psoriasis), colic, and feeding difficulties. This is what propelled her to become an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant so she could find out why breastfeeding was so challenging for her and help others in her community.

While she was pregnant with her second son, in 2014, she was diagnosed with POTS, Dysautonomia, Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, daily SVT episodes and Hashimoto's. At the same time, the oldest son was diagnosed with Tourette's, ADHD and PANS. This was a whirlwind for her entire family to be on a healing journey hunting for herself and her son. This is why she went on to become interested in functional neurology and nutrition.

After uncovering a dysregulated nervous system from childhood trauma, living in mold, and having Chronic Lyme that had gotten missed, she has continued to heal her family and herself. She is proud to say that both her and her son both do not have any signs of autoimmunity anymore. Each step was directed with the help of Jesus.

Dr. Parker has a deep-rooted love in how God designed our bodies. Her goal is to share what she has learned on her own healthcare and mother journey to help other live free.
